Booker Dewitt is a fascinating character within the BioShock franchise, though not the most. In life, DeWitt was a psychologically damaged man who traded a life out of pure selfishness. As his alternate, he was a power hungry zealot with an unstoppable drive to perpetuate hatred.

As he is drowned by different versions of Elizabeth, he accepts his fate that in order to destroy Comstock, DeWitt must die; it's a powerful, saddening and quite frankly impossible end for the man.
