10 Most Inappropriate Video Game Storylines Ever Written

7. Postal 2

Hatred game
Running With Scissors

One of the original controversies in video games Postal is everything that Hatred tried and failed to be, and even then Postal was never exactly high art to begin with.

In the second game the Postal Dude as he's known follows a series of basic tasks throughout his week that on the surface aren't violent in the slightest.

However, as he goes, he is repeatedly mugged, attacked, and harassed by damn near everybody in society. The player can choose to ignore this and try to stay calm, completing the tasks as a normal person would, or they can snap and - as the saying goes - "go postal."

Guess which is the canon choice.

While entirely juvenile the game is still fun for what it is and carries itself well despite how noticeably it's aged. But again the issue lies in how it's shocking for the sake of shock itself; rather than present its dark humour in you know, an actually humorous way, the game fills itself with as many uses of toilet humour, racial stereotyping, and general degeneracy as it can.

Let's not even talk about the *many* expansions this thing got.
