10 Most Popular Sega Games - Ranked From Worst To Best

1. Streets Of Rage 2

The first Streets Of Rage is one of the best games released on Sega's Mega Drive/Genesis console, but there was more to come from the beat 'em up series. Oh, was there ever. Streets Of Rage 2 remains the finest entry in the franchise by a long shot, and it may never be topped unless Sega sprinkle fairy dust on game developers.

Bashing your way through 8 stages of street punk enemies, pro wrestlers that bear a striking resemblance to The Ultimate Warrior and even Kangaroo-hopping robots is a genuine thrill. This is the kind of game to be dusted off at least once a year, because it is utterly essential to Sega's history.

Also, that soundtrack. If night clubs played tracks like 'Go Straight' or the 'Good Ending' theme, the world would be a much happier place. Take a bow, Yuzo Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima, you beautiful men you.

In fact, let's leave on a happy note and listen to that end theme together. Streets Of Rage 2 is gaming heaven, and probably Sega's best ever title.
