Kratos is back, this time with his young son Atreus, as they embark on an epic journey together to spread the ashes of their recently passed wife and mother. The roughly 40 hour open world adventure that follows is nothing short of a masterpiece.

The talented development team at Santa Monica managed to deliver on every facet of the game, from the engaging story and stunning graphics, to the ear pleasing score and addictive game play. The Leviathan axe is one of the most fun weapons in all of gaming, and the different ways that it can be used are an absolute blast. As Kratos becomes more powerful throughout the game, the combat blossoms and creates some of the most rewarding moments in recent memory.

This massive open world game has something for everyone. The story between Kratos and Atreus is gripping and heartfelt. Nearly every character that they meet along the way are interesting and engaging as well. At times the story is tense and heartening, yet it can quickly turn on its heels and become laugh out loud funny.
