The game that elevated Nate Drake's treasure hunting escapades from solid Sony exclusive to an integral cornerstone of the PlayStation family, Naughty Dog's bigger, better and more bombastic sequel raised the bar for what gamers should expect from the action-adventure, single-handedly making its contemporaries' storytelling, puzzle-solving and set-piece curation appear obsolete by comparison.
'Interactive movie' often carries a negative connotation in gaming circles, but in Uncharted 2's case, it was nothing but an adoring compliment, one accompanied with bewilderment that Naughty Dog had managed to blend cinematic quality with solid gameplay so seamlessly. Well, almost.

Had Naughty Dog envisaged its name-making sequel as an entirely pacifistic affair, Uncharted 2's quality would only have improved.
