10 Phenomenal PS4 & Xbox One Games Nobody Is Playing

Despite sales, Titanfall 2 is easily one of 2016's Games of the Year.

At some point, the gaming industry really needs to calm down when it comes to any given year's fourth quarter. See, somewhere along the way, higher-up execs and number-crunchers must've twigged that consumers rather like to, well, consume in the run-up to the festive season, but across the last two years in particular it's gotten pretty ridiculous.

Granted, in early 2015 we had The Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight standing out as notable releases, but look towards those Autumn months and there's everything from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront, Halo 5 and Super Mario Maker all descending within weeks of one another.

Back to 2016 and it's happened again, I would say to devastating effect.

Titanfall 2 has all but been forgotten about as EA decided to literally release it right in the middle of Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It just didn't stand a chance, and that's been the case for quite a few games this generation.

From the underrated to the overlooked, your PS4 and/or Xbox One has much more to offer than just those sitting directly under the spotlight...

10. Dishonored 2

Arkane Studios

We rated Arkane Studios' latest 4 stars over on the Youtube channel, as thanks to some immaculate world design, in-depth mechanics and a very challenging learning curve, it's a breath of fresh air next to other games that insist on holding your hand for the duration.

Playing once again as Corvo Attano or the all-grown-up Emily Caldwin from the original, they each get a specific set of powers including teleportation, time-bending, a shadowy beast form and more.

Basically it's an excuse to let you loose on tons of unsuspecting guards, with your only proviso being "Kill these guys in the most entertaining way possible" - and believe me, you've not lived until you've linked the fates of four people and hurled one off a cliff, only to watch the others get wrenched from the ground in unison.
