10 Popular Pokémon That Struggle Battling Online
4. Electivire
Electivire was one of the first Sinnoh Pokémon introduced to the fans of the anime. With its dynamic design, it looked incredibly strong and powerful, and being owned by Ash’s greatest rival, Gary Oak, did it a lot of favours in the cool department too.
The problem with Electivire is that trainers have to make a choice with it. You can pick weaker moves, such as Thunder Punch, to make use of Electivire’s impressive Attack stat, or you can go with stronger moves, such as Thunder, but be hampered by its average Special Attack skills. It can be used as a mixed attacker, but it comes with having to split Electivire’s Effort Values between the two stats.
With average Speed, Electivire has to be paired with a Choice Scarf to make it more likely to hit first, but it isn’t a guarantee. Plus, Electivire has poor HP, Defence, and Special Defence stats, making it easy work for faster Pokémon, especially if that particular opponent has use of the commonly used move Earthquake.
