10 Reasons Spider-Man PS4 Is The PERFECT Spider-Man Movie

4. A More Experienced Peter Parker

It's generally well known how Peter Parker first got his powers; bitten by a radioactive spider, finds himself changing, witnesses the death of his uncle and takes up his great power and responsibility, you get the idea.

The comics have firmly established Spider-Man's origins, while the movies have done their best to take the original tale and convert it into a cinematic form. Raimi's trilogy did it very well, Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man less so and the Marvel Cinematic Universe was the first to move past it entirely, with Tom Holland's rendition introduced in Captain America: Civil War.

Insomniac chose the latter focus when bringing their version of the character to life and the one we see has already been through quite a bit as the webslinger. He's gotten out of school, had some scientific internships here and there and taken on more than his fair share of supervillains.

There's nothing to bog down the story at the opening here, as Spider-Man leaps out the window of his apartment and you're immediately placed in control. On top of that, Peter's existing experience allows for the writing to flow at a good pace as Spidey taunts his existing foes without any need for development first.
