My hope for the next iteration of virtual reality, is that we start to see a lot more full games, rather than the tech demo experiences that dominated the current cycle. More games along the lines of Skyrim VR, where developers put significant resources into the technology, that way we could see some big advances.

Is this the year we step into a virtual world and become one with our surroundings, the way Ready Player One promised it would be?

Admittedly it probably isn’t, but with the next generation of technology comes some mind-blowing tech demos, and it's about time VR really blew us away.
