Offering up an explanation as to what happened after the events of the 1986 feature and being billed as a 'true sequel', A:CM doesn't offer much in a way of one. Blaming things on Weyland seems to be the answer for everything, and while the potentially story breaking twist of bringing back a character thought dead while failing to explain the reason for that as no more than "a long story" the game throws up plot points we've seen before. There's a distinct lack of imagination within it. And after a final boss fight involving a bit of running and the pushing of some buttons the final scenes are short, sharp and reveal... pretty much nothing. It leaves a real sense of time that's been wasted.
