10 Reasons You Should Revisit Skyrim Before The ‘Anniversary Edition’

1. Playing It Your Way

The beauty of Skyrim is that it doesn’t matter how you play – you’ll have fun. Whether you load up the game with mods until you’re fighting giant train engines and eating hamburgers, or taking the purist approach and making do with crossbows, swords and axes, it doesn’t matter.

This applies to jumping back into the game as well. Every time I launch into Skyrim, there’s a new challenge to keep me interested – whether it’s something from this list or an entirely new experience. I’ve challenged myself to never use fast travel, leading to some exciting and interesting exploration I would have otherwise missed. I’ve avoided cities altogether, stopping only to sell my hunting trophies and moving on. I’ve even played exclusively at night, sleeping the days away and emerging to creep unseen through the wilderness.

While the features teased in the Anniversary Edition sound like they’ll make the game even more immersive, there’s still plenty of time to finish off that magic-only, heavy-armour playthrough you’ve been planning.
