7. Other Tyrants
Tyrant, a genetically modified man/super soldier, is a well known boss in RE games - in fact most RE games have tyrants for boss levels - Nemesis (RE3) and T-00 (RE2) are maybe the most famous tyrants of them all. William Birkin turned himself into a Tyrant like creature in RE2 and in Code Veronica, Alexia Ashford blends herself with T Veronica virus and retains her intelligence, as well as gathering a whole host of new psychokinetic powers (and laughing like a banshee on helium all the way). But the biggest impression a Tyrant made was way back in the first instalment of the computer game. Wesker, whose villainy we had just established, decides to show his master creation -Tyrant - to Jill/Chris and drains him out of his suspended animation. Rather impressively, Tyrant goes after Wesker and assaults him. It then takes a mere 3/4 shots to fell the Tyrant who plays dead for a while and then decides to mess up the helicopter rescue by turning up and displaying his great sliding skills before you get tossed a rocket launcher, and it's good night Irene from several different camera angles. There are insane videos on youtube of players killing Tyrant with only a knife. It is great entertainment for RE fans.
