9. The Serial Killer Gets His Due Process (And Instant Death Penalty) - Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 boasts an impressive number of secret encounters, but what’s even more impressive is how many of them have different outcomes depending on how the player interacts with the game.
The best example of this is the special cutscene and reward you can get at the end of the serial killer hidden questline.
Although it’s not a marked mission in the game, the player can come across the trail of a mysterious murderer as early as chapter 1 of the game. After receiving the killer’s taunting messages, you can follow the bodies of his victims and plenty of other clues until you find his hideout and get a chance to confront him.
Upon stumbling into his lair, the killer will subdue your character, and then you will only have a quick window of time to retaliate before he kills you.
For this reason, most players don’t take any chances and shoot the man as soon as they get a chance, but if you simply knock him out, you can actually deliver him to the sheriff’s office for a special cutscene where he is arrested and then shot, plus a nice cash reward for catching him red-handed!
