10 Skyrim Easter Eggs, Secrets & References You Totally Missed

It's 2021 and Skyrim will STILL surprise you.

Since Bethesda is refusing to provide us with The Elder Scrolls 6, I’m left mining a ten year old game for secrets and easter eggs, luckily given that the 10 year old game in question is Skyrim, it really does keep on giving to those willing to look.

I guess the problem here is plenty of you have looked, and I’m not going to claim to do a video on Skyrim secrets, easter eggs, and references you definitely missed and then insult you by including the Pacman cheese or the lady of the lake holding a sword, the headless horseman, the Empire Strikes Back reference, or the notched pickaxe that’s a pretty clear nod to Minecraft.

Nope, I’ve done my darndest to collect a bunch of options that you hopefully haven’t heard of, and if you have, well, feel free to tell me off in the comments.

10. Booty-Filled Boat

Now, this one falls into the ‘secrets’ category and will be one you want to be on the lookout for if you don’t already have all the gold in the known game world.

Venture to Sky Haven Temple and head southwest and you’ll happen across a lone boat left abandoned in the Karth river. It’s a bit of a pain to find as the location is unmarked but if you do happen across it you’ll be treated to a bunch of great loot. You can find a strongbox, an apothecary satchel and an underwater chest, but that’s not all.

The boat is also packed with flawless gems, so this is a location you’ll want to head to if you’re trying to find a flawless ruby for the daedric quest, The Only Cure.
