10 Terrifying Video Game Bosses You Felt Bad For
3. Illidan - World Of Warcraft: Burning Crusade
Brother of Malfurion, enemy of the Horde and one of the most legendary characters in all of MOBA history, Illidan Stormrage has been pointing out our tardiness in preparations ever since appearing as the main villain in World of Warcraft's Black Temple back in 2.1.
By the time Burning Crusade rolls around, Illidan is well and truly on the back foot. Knowing that Kil'jaeden the demon lord is aware of his failure to take down the Frozen Throne and that he will soon be after him, as well as the possibility of both Alliance and Horde mounting an attack on his homeland.
The expansion reveals that Illidan has taken to creating an army of fel Orcs to help defend him in Outland, though players will have the chance to take on Stormrage at the Black Temple during the Battle of Crimson Watch.
However, it's clear that the Illidan we ultimately run into in Burning Crusade is a shell of his former, glorious self. The delusion, for example, of claiming that he had bested the legendary Arthus is a great example of this, Arthus of course being the very reason why Illidan was banished in the first place.
There's just that sense of kicking a man when he's down that players might not feel too good about with this one.
