10 Things We Want To See From Skate 4
4. Classic Freestyle Tricks
With the introduction of dark catches and under flips in Skate 3, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the majority of skateboarding innovations have already been made accessible in the series. However, while the comprehensive trick offerings in previous titles do offer a wide variety of options when it comes to deciding what skills to showcase, freestyle tricks often felt like something of an afterthought.
For those who haven't followed the skateboarding meta of the last five decades or so, freestyle was the first style of skating to become popular, with stars such as Per Welinder and Russ Howell wowing crowds with their impressive feats.
Skate 4 should pay homage to this pioneering style by offering the option to utilise classic freestyle tricks such as handstands, rail flips, and primo slides in the game so players can get their Rodney Mullen on in-game.
