4. Sam Lake - Alan Wake

Remedy

Sam Lake, the Finnish writer and creative director at Remedy Entertainment, is well-known for numerous appearances in his projects. His iconic constipated face was used for Max Payne's model in the original game, and he also provided some in-game commentary for Alan Wake and its remastered version.

However, there is one cameo by Sam Lake in particular that takes the cake for being the most elaborate, if not the most ridiculous. In Alan Wake, Sam Lake appears on a TV show in the game as himself.

A guest on the fictional Harry Garret Show along with Alan, who was invited there to talk about his newest best-selling book, Sam just sort of sits there and listens to Alan and the show's host make jokes at each other.

His only actual role in the scene is to make his famous Max Payne face toward the end of the interview, when prompted by Garret.

The fact that he doesn't really have any lines or purpose other than that one quick easter egg makes this cameo genius, for those who get what's happening. It's also just nice to Sam able to laugh at his 'Max Payne face' along with the fans.
