Speaking of movie tie-ins, in my opinion, although not strictly horror, but again, what is? Dead by Daylight takes the cake for most unique game on this list.

Survivors are tasked with doing generators to power an exit gate and then escape the realm of the Entity. Killers have to stop that by injuring, downing, hooking and sacrificing survivors.
