10 Video Game Characters You Didn't Know Were Voiced By Famous Actors

Pop-quiz time gamers and movie-buffs, who's feeling knowledgeable?

Voice acting is a typically underestimated career which forms a vital component of the majority of modern video games. Odds are that your favourite game character is voiced by the same person as many others, but sometimes famous actors are brought in to do one-off roles that seemingly slip under the radar that we never find out about (unless you are in the minority who just love to sit through the credits). Do you know your Nolan Norths from your Troy Bakers? Whether they are from top US comedies, intense television dramas or popular Hollywood films, you are bound to recognise some of the famous faces and voices on this list, which could change the way you see some of your favourite games forever.

10. Gary Oldman - Viktor Reznov (Call Of Duty: World At War, Call Of Duty: Black Ops)

Everyone's favourite Gotham City Police Commissioner is not just known for his onscreen acting but also his voice-acting talents which have placed in him many games. Most notably, Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops where he voices the borderline-psychopathic Russian Viktor Reznov, who is very confusingly both the protagonist and antagonist of the latter. The English born Oldman is more recently known for his role as Police Commissioner Gordon in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy and his role of Sirius Black, Harry Potter's godfather in the Harry Potter series. In many people's opinions, Call of Duty: Black Ops was the last entertaining game in the series and the campaign definitely helped achieve this. Despite the fact that it became slightly confusing towards the end, the story, gameplay and characters were great and this was no part down to the brilliant ensemble of voice actors including Oldman.
