10 Video Game Deaths You Were POWERLESS To Stop (But Kept Trying Anyway)

One of the most important characters in Infamous Second Son is protagonist Delsin Rowe's brother Reggie, who is killed near the end of the game when villain Augustine leaves the pair dangling from a platform with Reggie's legs encased in concrete.

Knowing that Delsin can't save them both and the concrete will soon encase his brother too, Reggie lets go of Delsin's hand, falling to his death.

But Infamous is a superhero franchise, which combined with the first game's time travel element, might lead players to believe that there's a way to undo what happened to Reggie.

Given that players probably know that Delsin has a fourth power waiting to be unlocked at this point, what if it's the ability to manipulate time, and before game's end he'll manage to go back and save his bro?

Unfortunately that's not what happens. After defeating Augustine, the final power is somewhat underwhelmingly revealed to be... concrete, and there's no timey-wimey way to save Reggie.

And even though the game has a karma system which somewhat influences the story, you're simply wasting your time if you attempt a squeaky-clean playthrough in the hope of averting your digital sibling's fate.
