10 Video Game Franchises We Really Don't Need More Of

3. Pokémon (The Creatures, Not The Franchise)

This isn't a dig that Pokémon has had its time and needs to simply call it a day in terms of making new games. Not even slightly!

Instead, it's a plea that the designers finally put their crayons down and stop designing new Pokémon to add to the series - they essentially gave up last time out with the 'Alolan' recreations of existing creatures.

Let's face it; when you're trying to make Pokémon from ice cream cones, rubbish bags and a set of keys - you're clutching at the very last remnants of the straws you were clutching at when you thought you were being clever naming a snake, Ekans.

Maybe, JUST MAYBE, if we stopped trying to top the marketing brilliance of Pikachu for one second, we could develop a game that spans more than a few of the regions? On a console? Like we've been asking for since we were all old enough to know about wanting things!?
