10 Video Game Ideas We're GLAD Got Cut

Even the toughest, scariest of people need a best friend. Well, what can be better than a dog? These loveable little creatures bring joy wherever they go and can melt the hearts of even the most heartless people. That said, the legendary God of War protagonist, Kratos, might not be the most responsible dog owner, especially in his early days. 

When looking through the old concept art for Kratos (as recounted here), there comes a point where Santa Monica decided to pair him up with a little pup. The idea seems cute at first, but it's much better that this duo didn't meet. With Kratos being as he was, there's no doubt this dog would have found itself in near-constant danger. The chances of them making it out alive would have been minimal. Hell, knowing how edgy the old GoW games were, you'd have likely had to fight and kill the puppy yourself. 

Kratos is great with dogs (or technically wolves) now, as seen in his interactions with Speki, Svanna, and Fenrir. But he's a remarkably changed man, and old-school Kratos wouldn't have been so canine-friendly.
