10 Video Game Platformers That Deserve A Remake

3. Donkey Kong 64

Always overlooked in favour of Mario and Banjo, Donkey Kong 64 was incredible fun. It was one of the better collect-a-thons and was incredibly satisfying on that front. The number of bananas to collect was enough to make a completionist shiver, and the platforming was just as stellar as Mario's foray into 3D.

Of course, there are a lot of changes that need to be made, with the game suffering a lot from repetition and back-tracking. But all that would need to be done is a few brief adjustments to certain mechanics to make the game smoother.

In a world where platformers are becoming rare and collect-a-thon platformers even rarer, we need a Donkey Kong 64 remake. Good collect-a-thons are near impossible to find and the fact that we have one waiting in the wings needing a coat of paint is a disservice!
