10 Video Game Sequels You Didn’t Know Were Coming In 2018
7. Pillars Of Eternity II: Deadfire
The original Pillars of Eternity didn't exactly reinvent the RPG when it landed in 2015, but it did it right and kicked it old school.
Fresh off the back of the original's success, role-playing masters Obsidian Entertainment successfully crowd funded a sequel, which is due to arrive next year under the banner of Pillars Of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Like its predecessor, Deadfire will champion isometric gameplay and retro values. Players will revisit the world of Eora, this time in pursuit of a god gone rogue.
New features will include expanded companion relationships and sequences set on the high seas. The game features a customisable boat stronghold which will serve as a mobile base for nautical exploration. Better batten down the hatches!
Deadfire will be released for PC and Mac in 2018, and if it's anything like its predecessor, it's sure to float RPG fans' boat.
