10 Video Game Side Missions That Let EVERYONE Down
2. Hush Side Quest - Batman: Arkham Knight
Talk about ending a long build up not with a whimper, but a very quiet but definitely perceptible fart noise.
Many people were looking forward to Arkham Knight finally delivering on the Hush storyline it had been slowly building up through the previous games. First teased in Arkham Asylum through a riddle, Hush made an appearance in Arkham City as a mysterious person who looked just like Bruce Wayne and was committing a string of brutal murders.
After tracking him down, it ended with Batman vowing to track down Hush another day, setting up for a potential big confrontation in Arkham Knight.
But what did we get? Well, we got a completely throwaway section where 'Bruce Wayne' visits Wayne Tower. This, of course, is Hush. Batman arrives at the tower, takes Hush down in pretty much one move by slamming him through a desk, and that's pretty much it.
For a character who's been involved in some significant Batman story arcs, and for all the build-up Rocksteady did in the previous game, this was incredibly disappointing.
Where was the epic boss fight? Where was a creepy lair for Hush? Where was anything of substance?
Come on Rocksteady, you're better than this.
