Fallout 3 might’ve had one of better trophy lists when it came to the seventh generations of video game consoles, it required time, but everything was fairly achievable. Then Fallout 4 rocks up on the eighth generation and gets that to hold its beer. Because this time Bethesda is going to make you all work for this one.

Beating quests, levelling up or even rummaging around the Wasteland isn’t all that bad, it is what we players have come to expect from these massive Bethesda titles, but there was one trophy in here that should’ve set off alarm bells everywhere. It was a sign of things to come and none of us saw this coming.

The Benevolent Leader trophy requires players to focus on the base building aspect of Fallout 4, something that would become all too familiar later in Fallout 76. Though in this game the real pain for this trophy was getting a damn settlement up to maximum happiness.

Watch or read as many guides online as you wish, none will ever really help these settlers ever cheer up. In the end, just waiting will be the best bet. Now if Preston Garvey could stop hassling us about other settlements needing help this might actually be manageable.
