10 Video Game Villains Who Sneakily Dropped Hints About Their Big Reveal
5. Loghain - Dragon Age: Origins
On top of the dreaded Darkspawn, your character in Dragon Age: Origins needs to face another foe too—Loghain Mac Tir. The old war hero betrays his own king at the beginning of the story, and this sets off your quest to rebuild the army lost at Ostagar and seek vengeance for your fallen friend, Duncan.
When you first watch the cutscene showing Loghain ordering his troops to abandon the king's forces, his decision is shocking. Yes, he clearly disagrees with King Cailhan on a lot of things, but this still doesn't justify a patriot like him abandoning him.
Well, it turns out that if you do a little bit of exploration at Ostagar, it's possible for you to discover what made up Loghain's mind. Prior to the battle with the Darkspawn, you can visit Loghain at his tent and have a little conversation about his views.
He will express how Cailhan has been too supportive of his country's former overlord, Orlais, and that he is getting quite exhausted of all of his complaints falling on deaf ears.
If you irk him, he will even call Cailhan a fool.
Yeah, a man openly calling his king an idiot is definitely not going to commit regicide...
