10 Video Game Villains You Can Secretly Join (And Be Better Off!)
4. The Dark Side - Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic tells the classic tale of the endless war between the Light and the Dark Side of the Force from a rather interesting perspective. Instead of making you join the Jedi good guys by default, the game allows you to experiment with the two sides and pick which one you wish to support.
Now, you'd think that the Force would be a balanced power, like all Star Wars media suggests, but in reality, one side is objectively stronger than the other. And let's just say it's not the Light one.
The Dark Side in Knights of The Old Republic gives the player access to powers some would consider... unnatural.
The lightning strikes abilities it provides, as well as items with ludicrous strength modifiers for melee builds, allow you to create the most powerful damage-dealing classes in the game. So much so that even encounters that would take a regular Jedi player multiple times to complete become a brisk walk in the park.
Of course, you have to do a lot of dastardly moustache-twirling evil things to unlock them, but this typically means having even more test subjects to test out your incredible powers on.
