10 Video Games To Finally Be Excited About In 2014

8. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number

The first Hotline Miami was one of the best games of 2012. It's use of harsh violence and 80's-inspired flare made it a huge success, selling over 300,000 units. Despite the graphics going for a more retro, pixelated look, that did not hamper the brutality of the game. In fact, it almost made it more shocking. Two years later, and developers Dennation Games are preparing us for the final chapter in the Hotline Miami saga. Taking place before and after the events of the first title, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is looking to end the story with an even bigger dose of the old ultra-violence. It also adds some new ways to slaughter your foes, including the dual-wielding of powerful Uzis. In addition to an all-new hard mode, Wrong Number also features some new playable characters and even the ability to control two gunslingers at once. All in all, Dennation seems fully prepared to give their tribute to 80's violence the send-off it deserves. In an era where developers are constantly looking for the next sequel, the Hotline Miami crew is content on letting the story come to a conclusion after only one. It's admirable, and we'll all be able to see how the bloodbath unfolds in the summer of 2014.
