10 Video Games Impossible To Beat Without A Guide

1. Takeshi's Challenge

Takeshi Kitano is one of pop culture's most interesting voices, seeing as how this man sees no art form as being beneath him, and is always willing to give every form of entertainment at least one real go.

When he gave the world of video games this same treatment, making himself an active participant in the game's development rather than just lending his name to the title, the unsuspecting children of Japan were cursed with the masterclass of trolling one's audience known as Takeshi's Challenge.

We were fortunate enough to be spared an American release, but the game's home country wasn't so lucky. This game is literally impossible unless you know the very, VERY specific hoops you gotta jump through to advance the story.

And even that might not save you, as there are Yakuza all over the city who will always get off at least one guaranteed hit before you escape them. And you only get four hits with no means of replenishing health until halfway through the game. If you die, it's back to the beginning.

I'd recommend not playing this game at all, but if you're curious, just bite back your pride and look up a guide. It'll save so much money on replacing the hair you'll tear out of your scalp otherwise.
