10 Video Games That Could Secretly Dominate 2019
4. The Outer Worlds
Revealed at E3 last year, Obsidian's Outer Worlds was a long overdue announcement for the studio. Famous for their work on New Vegas, fans were incredibly excited to see when they'd make another RPG in the same vein, and Outer Worlds will finally deliver just that.
Unfortunately, however, the game hasn't been talked about since (well, outside of its recent controversial PC exclusivity with the Epic Games Store), meaning that the hype has turned somewhat lukewarm on this space shooter. But Outer Worlds still has exactly what it takes to surprise people when it does launch, especially as the game seems to revive many of the popular features fans came to love about New Vegas
Among the beautiful visuals and robust RPG elements, it appears Obsidian have doubled down on player choice in Outer Worlds, alluding to the fact that making in-game decisions will have a drastic impact on the world around you.
Seeing as New Vegas offered players some of the most interesting moral choices in any modern video game, Outer World's emphasis on choice and consequence on top of what looks to be a riveting first-person action game makes it a prime candidate to be a surprise hit.
