10 Video Games That Knew You Lied

2. The Riddler Knows You Used A Guide - Batman: Arkham Asylum

BATMAN ARKHAM RIDDLER
Rocksteady

Perhaps the ultimate test of your mettle in Batman: Arkham Asylum involves hoovering up all 240 of The Riddler's trophies fiendishly scattered around Arkham Island.

Doing it the hard way - that is, without any outside assistance - is incredibly difficult and time-consuming, enough that the vast majority of players surely used YouTube video guides to streamline the process.

But developers Rocksteady were clearly well aware that players would be inclined to find a shortcut, and so once you've collected the vast majority of the trophies, you'll get a hilariously frustrated message from the Riddler himself.

The Riddler will straight-up accuse you of cheating, saying, "What? You're nearly done? Are you cheating? Looking them up on the internet? Tell me!" and later, "I'm losing patience. You are cheating. You must be."

Clearly The Riddler knew that his challenges were just too fiendishly difficult for even the World's Greatest Detective to conquer without somebody else lending a helping hand, even though most players evidently wanted the glory of finding them all regardless.
