10 Video Games That Let You Destroy The World

1. Plague Inc.

You might've seen Plague Inc. in the news recently, with the game being yanked from app store shelves in China due to its "illegal content".

That reason sounds a little vague, right? And that's probably because it isn't true. It seems pretty obvious that the real reason China has banned the title is because its gameplay - in which you spread a deadly virus across the globe - is hitting a little too close to reality because of the current coronavirus situation.

The goal of the game is to create and spread a plague that has dire global ramifications. You can keep an eye on how many victims you've infected so far, see which countries are suffering the most, and even "evolve" your disease by giving it different abilities, like the power to make humans cough, give them a rash, or give them insomnia.

Even though it's "just a game", there's something deeply disturbing about watching the Earth gradually succumb to an unstoppable pandemic, especially when some massive countries start to break down, and the death toll ticks into the thousands, the millions, and then the billions.

Anyone want to place a bet on how long it takes the devs to come out with a coronavirus DLC pack?
