10 Video Games That Make You A Better Gamer
2. Dark Souls
For an initial disclaimer, this entry includes every title with 'Dark Souls' in its name as well as other FromSoftware games such as Bloodborne and Sekiro. The reason for this, I'm sure anyone who has played these games will understand, is because if I titled them separately they'd take up over half of this list.
If there is any true prestige in the gaming world for what people class as hard games, it's Dark Souls. The challenge level of getting through any one of these games is so much higher than any of its kind, forcing players to try again and again and again until they're perfect. Not just good - perfect. You need to be a master of timing, reaction speed and analysing attack patterns if you're ever to get to the end.
These games are the biggest offenders of making players play better, as playing any other game after you've been binging a Souls game will feel strange and overly simplistic. You'll find yourself turning your camera to see if there are any enemies around the corner, you'll constantly be on alert for any threat - this is the power which Souls games possess.
Ask any veteran Souls player and they'll confirm that once you've put over 100 hours into this franchise, you won't view any game the same way again.
