10 Video Games That Might Literally Scare You To Death
10. Five Nights At Freddy's
If you were to make a list of video game genres that are likely to scare the pants off of you, then point-and-click would probably be somewhere near the bottom. Made popular in the 90s by developer legends LucasArts, point-and-click adventure are more well-known for their comedy elements and obscure puzzles than jump scares. Five Nights at Freddy's took the internet by storm when it was released earlier this year. An indie game developed solely by Scott Cawthon, Five Nights at Freddy's puts you in the shoes of a security guard who must survive one night in a facility filled with animatronic animal robots. The twist is that the game takes place in real time (requiring the player to stay alive for just under 9 minutes), and the animatronics will move through the building whenever the player isn't looking through the many security cameras. Labelled by several media outlets as the "scariest game in years," Five Nights at Freddy's is a game that really needs to be played understand just how incredibly terrifying it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tn9baUJDu0g
