10 Video Games That Should Have Ended 10 Minutes Earlier

1. Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor

Resident evil 7
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor won heaps of rightful acclaim for being a rarest of games to truly capture the essence of its beloved source material, as best defined by its incredible Nemesis combat system.

And the game nearly held a consistent line of quality all the way to the finish line, were it not for one of the most spectacularly inept final battles in the current generation of gaming.

After battling your way through the mighty Talons of the Black Hand, the player is thrown into a random, out-of-nowhere fight against the Black Hand of Sauron himself, which amounts to little more than an embarrassingly inconsequential QTE showdown.

The final fight left most fans infuriated and dissatisfied, with many assuming the fight was curtailed due to the game's rushed development.

As such, it probably would've been smarter to just end the game with the fight against the Talons, who were at least fun to fight against, and set up a proper fight with Sauron in the sequel, Shadow of War.

Thankfully, Shadow of War at least concluded with an effortlessly superior final boss fight against Sauron which amounted to far more than mere button prompts.
