10 Video Games That Were Killed By Executive Meddling

6. Metal Gear Survive

Brutal Legend
Konami

Konami didn't give this game a chance. The background squabbling and further firing of Hideo Kojima, their main man and the creative mind behind their two most popular franchises, killed the franchise instantaneously.

But instead of letting the series die, Konami dug it up out of the dirt, brushed it off, propped it up with tent-poles, slapped zombies on it and charged £60 for it. There was no way this game would succeed. The industry had already turned against Konami, so even if the game was the second coming of Christ, everyone would have hated.

The game is a mediocre one at best, but that wasn't what turned people away. Even the least industry savvy gamer knew how badly Konami screwed Kojima, so there was no way it would even stagger out the starting gate.
