10 Video Games That Were Killed By Executive Meddling
5. E.T. The Extra Terrestrial
This is what happens when you give a development team two months to make a game. You almost single-handedly destroy the entire western gaming industry and cripple the medium of gaming for years to come.
E.T. was an absolute mess. To this day, it remains one of the most baffling and outright intriguing games around. And not in a good way. It's impossible to know whether or not the game would have been good if it had more time, but as it stood, the developers are at no fault for the state of the game.
If anything they deserve props for not shipping the box with nothing more than a drawing of E.T. inside.
The game wasn't killed by the executives, it never even got a chance to live.
