10 Video Games With Stealth Missions That Are Totally Out Of Place
6. Final Fantasy VII
Forced stealth missions are almost everywhere but more so in Japanese role-playing games which already house a flaw in their gameplay which restricts freedom of movement. Fan-favourite Final Fantasy VII is not an exception in this regard.
The game’s story features a situation where you have to sneak around the Shinra headquarters, set apart by countless guards and a pile of floors that you need to climb.
For this purpose, Square incorporated a rudimentary stealth system for infiltrating the endless building hallway and avoiding fights. And so you take a left from the building entrance and proceed your way up the stack of stairs.
This method of getting into the Shinra Building is painstakingly long and the control mechanism set up for it is certainly not designed for stealth flunkies. On the whole, the game may be a masterpiece, but this section is both uninspiring and tiring. We understand the need for adding elements of realism into the gaming experience but on the flipside, this shouldn't come at the cost of a seamless gaming experience.
