10 Video Games With The Most Endings

One hundred endings? In one game?!

Historically, a game having multiple endings has always been a sort of badge of honour. Series like Fallout bank on the fact that players will want to traverse every possible path in multiple playthroughs, in order to see every single variation the storyline can provide them.

This is to an extent that players are used to games having several endings, usually expecting the regular combination of a good ending, a bad ending, and a neutral ending at least.

So it's a welcome surprise when a franchise goes above and beyond these expectations. Adding a huge number of endings wildly enhances the fun you can have on replays, as instead of rehashing the whole thing you can adventure towards a new and mysterious alternate conclusion.

The only thing about this is that some of these games offer almost too many endings. When a game literally has one hundred different endings, it can be hard to know where to start - or how to get them all without following a guide step by step.

This only makes it all the more impressive that some series offer so many, as they do so despite the fact that a large amount of the player base will likely only see one.

10. Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 - 51 Endings

Many fighting games are naturally inclined to have a higher number of endings. After all, the story of these games tends to involve adventuring through each playable character's story - meaning the more characters, the most possible endings.

Since Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 has a whopping fifty-one characters, giving each a single ending still results in a huge number of conclusions for the game. Admittedly, this is something that came with time, as many of these characters weren't initially included but rather added with various DLC.

On the plus side, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 also lets you get these endings relatively quickly, despite the huge number of them. Given the difficulty settings, you can simply bump everything down to its easiest, and then whale away on the final boss with whatever character you are trying to get the ending for.

While it's likely not the "intended" way for you to see all the possible endings, few people are likely to judge you for your moral code in regards to Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom.
