10 Video Games With The Tightest Timed Sections

2. All The Ring Levels - Superman 64

Superman 64 is a deeply terrible game that many would argue is scarcely fit for human consumption, and it certainly does little to endear itself to players with its agonisingly infuriating "ride" levels.

These stages, of which there are seven peppered throughout the game, force players to fly through a maze of rings scattered around Metropolis, while working against some brutal time limits.

These levels become longer and tougher throughout the game, though the first one is so obnoxiously constrained that there's little incentive for self-respecting players to actually keep going.

For kids playing the game back in 1999, though, that such a highly anticipated game made it to the market in such a blatantly broken state was nothing short of heartbreaking.
