10 Ways Call Of Duty Blackout Is Better Than Fortnite
1. Post-Launch Content
Unlike Epic Games and Bluehole, Activision knows how to launch a game and support it for 12 months. The company has been churning out Call of Duty games since 2004, and post-launch content since 2005; it runs like a well-oiled machine. As such, almost as soon as Black Ops IIII launches, we'll be getting inundated with DLC.
While PUBG receives random updates and suffers from long wait times between new maps, Epic Games is much better at adding new content to Fortnite in the form of Seasons. However, Activision has a roadmap and will deliver consistent updates that include characters, maps, and more. In fact, Activision has already announced its DLC plan, and aims to deliver more content, more frequently.
Unlike PUBG and Fortnite, there is a finite timeline for Black Ops IIII. On year from now, the game will be put to rest in the wake of its successor. There's something exciting and refreshing about that in a genre that is more like a soap opera, as opposed to Activision's Netflix-style anthology series. So we can expect Treyarch to throw everything at the wall in the next 12 months, and it's sure to be a hell of a ride.
