9. Simplicity Is Key
Call of Duty realised long ago that it had peaked (MW2), and since then, the new editions have been complex labyrinths of options, customisation and needless features designed to distract gamers from the fact the gameplay was utterly stale. I don't care about crudely slotting shapes together to make a logo for my gun, nor do I care whether my sidearm pistol is camouflaged enough for other players to think I'm invisible. If you're in the same mindset, you'll appreciate the fact that Battlefront has a decent choice of weapons without boring you over which shape you want the laser pointer to be in your sight. The menus are child's play to navigate, and with no ammo/kills/stats etc. filling out the rest of the screen, it provides a refreshing clutter-free setup that's brilliantly simple and condensed.
