10 Ways The Xbox One Is Secretly Beating PS4 & Nintendo Switch
3. Backwards Compatibility
This is easily one of the biggest and best things that the Xbox One has going for it at the moment, and it's something that Microsoft clearly know.
Nintendo used to be the king of backwards compatibility with the Wii U, but it seems like they're more set on following PlayStation's example this generation. Offering up their old games as enhanced editions is all well and good, but it isn't really backwards compatibility.
Sony are certainly the worst for this. The small amount of PS2 games they offer all cost way more money than they should, and PlayStation Now rarely seems worth the asking price. With the Xbox One, all you need to do is own the game and put it in your console, and you're ready to go. That's exactly how it should be done.
Even now, Microsoft are continuing to update games to allow them to play in 4K. Playing the original Red Dead Redemption in 4K is truly a sight to behold, and something that no other console allows you to do.
