10 Ways Video Game Worlds Are Nothing Like Reality

7. "Sorry Mum, I'm Stuck In A Wall..."

If you've got am meeting you want to avoid or you don't want to go into school or work you have to come up with an excuse. Either you have to claim a family member is dead, or you've got a crippling illness that prevents you from coming in. One excuse we can never use though, which games are full of are glitches. It seems that whenever I have a particularly difficult escort mission or when I have an AI companion, they seem to prefer to get stuck behind objects or in walls. I can imagine it now, Link calling into the castle and saying he can't pop in to save Hyrule today as he's stuck inside a pot he was smashing. We do sometimes get some sort of glitches in normal day to day life though; whether you trip over your own feet, stub your toe or snort in the middle of laughing. I've yet to see someone stuck inside a wall or have a person I'm walking along with get stuck behind a dustbin.
