10 Wonders Of The World You Can Explore In Video Games

4. The Colosseum - Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Assassin's Creed origins
Ubisoft

Assassin's Creed has yet to visit Ancient Rome and so have yet to see the Colosseum in it's original glory. We can however visit the Colosseum during the early 16th Century after an earthquake hit the stadium in 1349. It's generally very close to the state of the building today and so is as accurate to visit as the formerly mentioned Golden Gate Bridge.

The Colosseum itself is very accurate to the real building (although the real building is an oval and in-game it's a circle), as well as representations of what was happening in there at the time. In the case of the Renaissance it was plays about the crucifixion, where our hero Ezio thwarts an assassination attempt in the middle of the performance.

After this you're free to explore the sights of the Roman stadium at your leisure as see the views of Rome from the top. Then have a journey underneath this Italian landmark and explore the catacombs where an Apple of Eden is waiting for you.

This will remain the best way to explore the Colosseum until Assassin's Creed does indeed explore Ancient Rome.
