10 Wonders Of The World You Can Explore In Video Games

3. The Lincoln Memorial - Fallout 3

Assassin's Creed origins
Bethesda

Fallout 3 is set in Washington D.C., post-nuclear apocalypse. As such, the city isn't looking so good, with many of its most famous buildings and monuments destroyed beyond recognition. A couple are still standing though, like the Washington Monument and the fully explorable Lincoln Memorial.

Sure, a couple of walls have holes, some columns have fallen and Lincoln is (initially) missing his head, but it's still one of America's most famous buildings and a fantastic tribute to the man who united the colonies, ending the slave trade in the process.

Players can do some work in returning the monument to its former glory too, by recovering Lincoln's head. Considering the good karma you get at the end of the game and wanting to explore famous landmarks as close as possible to real life, you'll want to do this, rather than leave him decapitated.

Participating in a quest to free slaves and rebuild the memorial to one of America's most revered Presidents, it lets you enjoy this building the way it was meant to be seen.
