10 Worst Triple-A Games Of The Decade (So Far)

9. Saints Row

Forspoken game
Volition

2022's reboot of the Saints Row franchise sought to veer away from the series' increasingly silly tone up to that point in an attempt to appeal to a wider number of people - a ploy which backfired spectacularly.

Ultimately this new take on Saints Row stripped much of the franchise's ribald personality away, substituting it for aggressively corny attempts to appeal to the Gen Z set.

The result was a game that satisfied neither the series' older fans nor younger players coming to Saints Row for the first time - long-time fans missed all the signature kookiness, and newbies felt pandered to.

Couple this with the generally mediocre gameplay, repetitive missions, and forgettable story and characters, and Saints Row 2022 turned out to be one of the most soulless AAA titles of recent years - an almost impressive achievement considering the competition, really.

A year after the game failed to meet commercial expectations, developer Volition was shut down, effectively putting the series on ice for the foreseeable future.
