11 Best Mortal Kombat Fatalities Ever

6. Dragon - Liu Kang

Liu Kang was the original hero of the Mortal Kombat series. He was the equivalent of Street Fighter's Ryu, and the protagonist of the movie that released four years after the original game.

It's kind of surprising then that he was the possessor of the absolute crappiest Fatality in the OG Mortal Kombat. In case you're not familiar, Kang's finishing move was an uppercut. That's it. Not an uppercut that ripped the foe's head off, spine in tow, or one that burst his opponent's skull into a million pieces. Just an uppercut that knocked them off their feet.

Considering he was a key role in the series, Midway knew it had to change-up Liu Kang's Fatality and make him more compelling. So, come Mortal Kombat II, Liu Kang turned into a freakin' dragon and bit his opponent's torso off.

Over the years, the dragon Fatality improved and increased in intensity and violence, but the dark heart has remained the same. The dragon was missing from MKX, so here's hoping it makes a return in MKXI.
