7. Rockstar's Next Game Will Be Called 'Red Dead 3'
As much as GTA V was a phenomenal open-world game packed to the rafters with things to do and see, there's only so much you can revisit the anarchic well of explosions and free-form gameplay before it gets a little stale. And when you've got missions centred around moving shipping containers on a dock or a good handful just being driving cutscene to cutscene well, it's high time for a change. Or rather, a redirect, as an anonymous source confirmed to WhatCulture that Red Dead Redemption 2 is on the way, except its working title is simply 'Red Dead 3'. Now it must be stressed that this is a name given to the project currently in the works, and as such Rockstar's PR department are probably still weighing up the pros and cons of giving RDR its own identity as simply 'Red Dead', doing away with the random R-related words we've had previously like Revolver and Redemption. The news comes after Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed Red Dead was a "permanent franchise", and although the tip we received is completely anonymous, it does make the most sense that the franchise Rockstar would further is the one that's rated many peoples' greatest game of all time.
